2025 Question and Answer With Hell Harvest Haunted House

Home » Blog » Missouri Haunts: An In Depth Look

MissouriHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Jeff Sengheiser of Hell Harvest Haunted House, to discuss what's new at Hell Harvest Haunted House for the 2025 Halloween Season!

What's new at Hell Harvest Haunted House for 2025? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We have put a new scene right at the beginning that is going to overwhelm visitors. I don’t want to give too much away, but it will be talked about. We are allowing an option to bypass it because it is intense. We also added several new scenes and greatly expanded our hospital/asylum.

What are you most excited about for the 2025 Halloween Season?

The cooler weather! Build season has been a brutal heat wave this year. We are very excited about our new scenes and some new animations from Graveyard Ghoul Productions we’ve installed.

What differentiates Hell Harvest Haunted House from other local haunts in Missouri?

Our attention to detail and our actors are what sets us apart for sure. We immerse you in our scenes and give our disturbed crew a beautiful canvas to bring the fear to life.

How long has Hell Harvest Haunted House been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Hell Harvest Haunted House's history?

We are going into our 7th season. This was a dream of ours for many years. We have always been Halloween fanatics and have been learning and compiling props for twenty years leading up to our opening in 2019. We continue to learn and try and improve all aspects of the haunt while working to keep it affordable for a family or group to come celebrate the season with us.

What's your favorite experience since opening Hell Harvest Haunted House?

When the build is paused for the season (a haunted house build season never ends it just pauses to open) and everything is working with lights, sound, fog, and animatronics and people are just enjoying what you’ve created. That is the best!

How long is a typical haunt experience at Hell Harvest Haunted House from start to finish?

The haunt will take you over an hour to walk through continuous. We don’t have separate queue lines inside. Once you enter, it is a continuous walk through buildings, woods, and even a cornfield. We will also have a midway with some other entertainment options to try while you’re on the property.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Hell Harvest Haunted House is? Why?

I’m biased obviously, but I’d say we are towards the ten. We don’t shy away from intense scares. While we don’t have an age requirement, we do not dial our scares down for anyone. We set out to be the most intense haunted house in the area, and everything we do is towards that goal. We leave the discretion up to the parents on whether their child can handle the scares.

Does Hell Harvest Haunted House's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

I don’t know of any specific haunted history, but there was previously a town on the property with a general store and multiple homes. We’ve tried to incorporate that and recreate some of the buildings in our set design.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

A lifelong love of everything Halloween and horror. Halloween has always been a special time for us, and we are so happy to contribute inspiration to the next generation of haunted house builders who may come through our attraction. We studied and enjoyed so many attractions leading up to opening our own, and it’s cool to think that someone may be visiting us on the same trajectory in life.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Hell Harvest Haunted House?

We also own Graveyard Ghoul Productions which manufactures animatronics and props for other haunts and theme parks. This gives us an edge to create props specifically designed for certain scenes within the haunt. We have again added some animations, but our actors really bring everything to life.

Can Hell Harvest Haunted House accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Hell Harvest Haunted House together as a group?

We recommend 6-7 for the best show. This allows the actors time to reset between groups. We have had large groups who want to go through together, and we will caution them against it we do allow them to go through as a large group if they want.

Does Hell Harvest Haunted House offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

We don’t currently offer discounts or coupons. We keep our ticket price low and haven’t raised or general admission price in four years even though all our expenses have increased sometimes exponentially. We have a conversation every year about raising the ticket price because of our costs, but for now we are holding out in an effort to provide entertainment that people can still afford.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Hell Harvest Haunted House?

Opening night is September 26th and we are open every Friday and Saturday through November 1st. We truly love the Halloween season and the haunt industry. Come out and visit us this year! We are bringing you another season of unrelenting horror!
