Arcadia Academy
Arcadia, MO 63621
This academy was originally built in 1840 as a Methodist high school then was a Civil War hospital. After that, it was a girls' Catholic school and then became a bed and breakfast and antique store. The place is rumored to be haunted by the nuns that once ran the school. They are also said to be buried in the cemetery on the grounds. Photos taken here have picked up orbs and vertexes and strange mists have been seen.

Reviews
I felt embarrassed and scared because I'm usually the one my friends leave alone in the most haunted places, and they often find me asleep. However, Arcadia was different. I had never believed in the paranormal until I saw the ghost of a nun—or something similar—in the hallway of this location. I froze and stood still as she passed by. The paranormal team we investigated with, Haunted Soulz Paranormal, was very professional. They were thrilled to have converted a skeptic like me. They are the only ones that run events there... I'm considering goin back... lol.
