This hotel was once the Hyatt Regency and has seen some tragic incidents. In 1981 two walkways collapsed onto a dance competition in the lobby and it killed 114 people and injured 216. A ghostly woman is said to visit the hotel wearing a tea gown. She is believed to be a woman named Kathryn Sullivan, a victim of the collapse incident.

Presence in room 27011

Its was around 1:00 am i was jolted awake after being asleep for several hours. I normally sleep with the tv on so i thought maybe something loud occurred on the tv. I shut the tv off and rolled back over. Within a minute ii heard a deep cough from within my room then what sounded like footsteps dragging across the floor. I immediately turned the tv back on for light, ran to the door to look down the hall and see if someone was there. Nothing. The next day im with my boss in the lobby of the hotel between meetings and he brought up to me in casual conversation there was a skyway collapse in 1981 that killed 114 people i was completely unaware of. The blood must have drained from my face as he could immediately tell something was wrong . I explained my experience earlier that morning and we were both in awe.
